Day 1 Arrival at Paro Airport

Depart from Bangkok, Kathmandu, or New Delhi, depending on your travel itinerary. Board a flight to Paro, Bhutan, where you’ll experience a breath taking descent through the Himalayan Mountains before landing at Paro International Airport. Upon arrival at Paro Airport, proceed through immigration and customs clearance. Ensure you have all necessary travel documents, including your passport and Bhutanese visa, if applicable. You may be greeted by a representative from your tour operator or hotel, who will assist with transportation arrangements and transfer you to your accommodation in Paro. Check-in at your hotel. Then take break for lunch and some time to relax and settle into your accommodations before embarking on further exploration of the Paro city.

 Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore Paro’s attractions. Your first day in Bhutan with a well-deserved rest, reflecting on the memorable experiences of your journey and anticipating the cultural delights awaiting you.

Day 2 Stay in Paro

Your second tour in Bhutan begins from hearty breakfast at your hotel or nearby restaurant as per your preference. Next we will drive to Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest). Embark on a memorable excursion to Paro Taktsang, also known as the Tiger’s Nest monastery. Is a sacred Vajarayana Himalayan Buddhist site located in the cliff side of Paro valley in Bhutan. It is one of thirteen Tiger’s Nest caves in historical Tibet in which Padmasambhava practiced and taught Vajrayana. Enjoy a scenic hike through pine forests and mountainous terrain to reach the monastery, soaking in breath taking views along the way.

On the way back to Paro we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Paro, sampling authentic Bhutanese cuisine or international dishes savour the flavours of Bhutan while taking in the scenic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Next, depending on time, explore to nearby attraction. Take a leisurely evening stroll through Paro town and end a day with dinner.

Day 3 Paro-Thimphu

After breakfast, the journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, along a river valley, past small villages and traditional farmhouses, through peaceful countryside. It’s a small & charming capital city located in the heart of the Himalayas and check-in at your hotel. On reaching Thimphu, we will visit Buddha Dordenma Statue, situated at the Kuensel Phodrang, Nature Park in Thimphu, holds great significance for the country and its people. The construction of this magnificent statue has a rich history tied to the religious and cultural fabric of Bhutan. Take some time to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch featuring Bhutanese cuisine at a local restaurant or at your accommodation, sampling dishes such as Ema Datshi (chili and cheese stew) or Phaksha Paa (spicy pork dish).

We will continue our journey to the Tashichoe Dzong, It is a huge majestic structure surrounded by beautiful gardens and well-kept laws, offering a glimpse into Bhutan’s rich architectural and historical heritage, nearby Thimphu attraction like National Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage Museum and Textile Museum. Spend the evening at leisure, relaxing at your accommodation and prepare and rest for next journey.

Day 4 Thimphu-Punakha

After our breakfast at hotel, we will drive to Punakha over dochula pass (3150m).  Enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range on clear days and admire the 108 memorial chortens (stupas). We will stop at the pass for photography and enjoying the fresh air. Continue your journey to Punakha, we will visit Chhimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility. After that we will served the lunch. On reaching Punakha, explore Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks and a masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture. We will visit to Punakha Dzong. This dzong is the most beautiful dzong in Bhutan and located majestically at the confluence of Pho Chhu (Male River) and Mo Chhu (Female River). End the day by visiting to nearby suspension bridge, take a leisure dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Punakha hotel.

Day 5 Punakha-Gangtey

Begin the day by departing from Punakha and embarking on a scenic drive to Gangtey, where you will experience a journey through tradition and beauty, walking to a legendary temple and exploring towns known for their crafts. Make a stop at Wangdue Phodrang, a charming town located en route to Gangtey, known for its traditional architecture, bustling markets, and historic landmarks. Upon reaching to Gangtey, we will visit Gangtey Monastry, Black Necked Crane Information Centre and Gangtey Nature Trail.

Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant or picnic spot in Phobjikha, where you can enjoy a delicious meal and the natural beauty of the valley. After that take the opportunity to explore the charming villages of Phobjikha and interact with local residents. Gain insights into their traditional way of life, agricultural practices, and cultural traditions as you stroll through the picturesque countryside. End a day with dinner and overnight stay at Gangtey.

Day 6 Gangtey-Bumthang

A scenic drive from Gangtey to Bumthang passes through lush rhododendron and oak tree forests. The scattered settlements will come to view on the way as you push into central Bhutan. You will cross the Chendebji Chorten, make stop at this point and explore. You will then continue your drive to Bumthang, you will directly move to your hotel because of having long drive to take some rest. You can observe the evening activities of the locals by strolling around the streets and shops. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7 Nimalung Festival Attend

Today whole day, we will enjoy with Nimalung Festival, the first festival in Bhutan of the year.  Nimalung Tshechu Festival is performed in Bumthang at Nimalung Lhakhang. The tshechu is held once in a year in the 5th month of the Bhutanese calendar. It is a religious and cultural festival like many other tshechus in Bhutan. This festival is a vibrant display of traditional masked performance, rituals, religious dances and common celebration which dispatches the teaching of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava). Moreover, it holds immense significance for local and offers a unique opportunity for visitors to witness or experience Bhutanese Culture.

Day 8 Explore Bumthang

Explore the breath taking region of Bumthang, a religious sanctuary nestled and also the heartland of Buddhism in Bhutan. It is an area with a wide variety of fauna and flora. This sacred destination houses some of Bhutan’s oldest Buddhist temples and monasteries. Immerse yourself in the captivating tales of Guru Padmasambhava and the revered tertons (religious treasure-discoverers) that still resonate throughout this mystical region. With an abundance of natural beauty and centuries-old Buddhist temples, Bumthang is a paradise for travellers. Overnight stay at Bumthang.

Day 9 Bumthang-Thimphu

Our journey starts after having breakfast from Bumthang to Thimphu. We will head back to Thimphu through the Trongsa Bumthang Highway. You will enjoy a scenic drive the political and economic centre of Bhutan. Also, the journey takes Jakar, followed by the Bumthang-Ura Highway towards Chendebji. You will visit the Chendebji Chorten, which is built in Nepalese stupa style during the 18th century. It is known to have restrained the body of an evil spirit of the Nagala demon under the Chorten. You will directly move to your hotel because of having long drive to take some rest.

Day 10 Thimphu-Paro airport

Begin your day with breakfast, we will drive to Paro International Airport for your onward flight. Our guide and driver will bid you farewell here at the airport where you trip to Bhutan ends here. We wish you a very safe and pleasant flight for your onward destinations.
