Dochula pass

Dochula Pass, located at 3,100 meters on the road between Thimphu and Punakha in Bhutan, is a breathtaking mountain pass known for its stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan range. On clear days, visitors can see snow-capped peaks, including Bhutan’s highest mountains. The pass is also famous for the 108 memorial chortens, known as the Druk Wangyal Chortens, built to honor Bhutanese soldiers who died in the 2003 military conflict. It is a serene and spiritually significant spot, often visited for its scenic beauty, historical importance, and as a stop during the annual Dochula Druk Wangyel Festival.
