Jomolhari Trek
Jomolhari is one of Bhutan’s most iconic and sacred mountains, standing at an elevation of 7,326 meters (24,035 feet) along the border between Bhutan and Tibet. Known as the “Mountain Goddess,” Jomolhari holds deep spiritual significance in Bhutanese culture, as it is believed to be the abode of a protective female deity. The mountain’s striking, snow-covered peak is revered by both locals and pilgrims, who consider it a holy site.
Jomolhari is also a popular destination for trekkers and adventurers. The Jomolhari Trek is one of Bhutan’s most famous trekking routes, offering stunning views of the mountain, alpine meadows, pristine valleys, and diverse wildlife, including blue sheep and snow leopards. Starting from Paro, the trek takes visitors through remote villages and high-altitude landscapes, providing a blend of natural beauty and cultural immersion.
